The annual European Parliamentary group ‘Friends of New Europeans Reception’ took place on the 10th of October 2018 at UNITEE, Place du Luxembourg 2.
The reception is the flagship event of the European Parliamentary group Friends of New Europeans and has, since its establishment in late 2016, worked to provide a platform for the MEPs to play an active role in improving the integration and active European citizenship of New Europeans while discussing the role of economic engagement and entrepreneurship in fostering integration.
Gibbels stressed the importance of UNITEES initiative. “Migrant entrepreneurs provide valuable contributions to our economy. At a time where migration is almost a dirty word in the media, it is important that we highlight this fact and the positive impact successful new Europeans have on the EU”.
